The first typographer in Kežmarok was Matej Glaser Vitrarius, who operated in the building of the present Old Redoubt
(Reduta). The printing shop worked according to the edition of well-preserved books in 1705 – 1708. It published books
in Latin, German and Slovak language. Possibly, the guild of bookbinders was established in Vitrarius’s printing shop.
