The Church of the Holy Cross dates to the middle of the 13th century. Today’s look of the building comes from the majestic
Gothic reconstruction in 1444 – 1498. The interior of the Church is also mostly Gothic. The work of the crucified Christ from the
workshop of Master Paul of Levoča, which was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, is one of the most precious parts of the
Church. In 1998, the Church was declared Basilica Minor. There is a Renaissance Belfry from 1591 near the Basilica.
