The beginnings of football in Kežmarok date back to
1907. There were several of football clubs during the
First Czechoslovak Republic. After 1948, only two teams
remained, which were combined to form TJ Jednota
Kežmarok. The biggest success of the club was a season
1968/69, when it had a chance to advance to the second
highest competition, unfortunately, it did not happen.
Currently, the first MFK Kežmarok club plays in the fifth
league of the Sub-Tatra group (Podtatranská). The youth
teams play in the second division in the categories U10,
U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19. In 2018, 8 players from the
f
irst MFK Kežmarok managed to get into the representation.
