The city Kežmarok disposes of several sport facilities. The Municipal sports hall and the
ice-hockey stadium are among the biggest ones.
Vlado Janček’s Municipal sports hall is named after a native of Kežmarok, a master of
sports, and a former Czech-Slovak representative in athletics. The last comprehensive re
construction was carried out in the years 2009 – 2011. The grandstand can accommodate
up to 350 visitors. It is a multipurpose hall.
The inhabitants of the town put the renovated ice-hockey stadium building into use
after an eight-year break, in 2018. Its capacity is 2,500 visitors. In the future, a low-cost
multi-purpose arena is to be built next to the stadium. It should be completed in 2021.
