You can enjoy relaxing moments in the forest park or in the recreational zone Zlatná. In the
summer you can freshen up in the outdoor swimming pools with sea water.
The closest place where guests can relax is North Forest Park, which should be seen
by any visitor. A recreational zone Zlatná pond is also a popular place for tourists and
especially sport fishermen. Its name is derived from Zlatná stream, which flows through it.
There is a dam and a breeding pond in its upper part. Zlatná area and the town of Kežma
rok are connected by a cycle route, which was implemented as part of the Historical-Cul
tural-Natural Road project around the Tatras. The project involved 13 towns and villages
on the Slovak and Polish side. The town of Kežmarok has built a 3 km long and 3 m wide
asphalt cycle path from Sever (North) housing estate to Zlatná pond.
In summer is possible refreshments at the summer swimming pool, which has been serv
ing the inhabitants of Kežmarok since 2017. There are two saltwater pools – large and chil
dren’s one. Sea salt was imported to the swimming pool from the Croatian island of Pag.
